Springs are invisible resources and provide livelihood to the local population. Comprehensive analysis of social and cultural aspects involved with the managing of springs needs to be carried out. Almost all the springs are part of the daily prayer by the local people. Near the mouth of the springs the villagers have installed their favourite Godâs idol. This symbolises the importance the villagers attach to the springs. Any management of springs including rejuvenation program must be based on extensive consultation with the village community.
